Divine by Mistake**

 

The only excitement Shannon Parker expects while on summer vacation is a little shopping. But when an antique vase calls to her, she finds herself transported to Partholon, where she's treated like a goddess. Somehow Shannon has stepped into another's role as the Goddess Incarnate of Epona. And while there's an upside - what woman doesn't like lots of pampering? - it also comes with a ritual marriage to a centaur and threats against her new people. Oh, and everyone disliking her because they think she's her double. Somehow Shannon needs to figure out how to get back to Oklahoma without being killed, married to a horse or losing her mind.


Minha opinião:
Gostei do livro, mas já é o décimo livro que leio da autora e o estilo começa a cansar. O universo feminino, as conversas com a deusa...mas o humor é bom, a leitura é rápida e eu não resisto a um chicklit, ainda mais quando tem o item sobrenatural. Apesar dos "vampiros" não serem a parte principal da história, eles estão presentes. A história não é nem profunda nem nada, mas uma leitura rápida e gostosa, ótima para o verão.

Começando ano novo, lista nova...nem tanto...tenho várias coisas que sobraram do ano passado, mas hoje é dia 6 de janeiro e já terminei o primeiro: Divine by Mistake, P.C. Cast

Comecei a ler March, Geraldine Brooks ano passado, ainda estou pensando em recomeçar Atlantis, ou talvez retomar Lisey's story. March é pacato demais para o meu gosto...deixei de lado, acho que de vez, quem sabe numa próxima resolução de terminar a todo custo, como fiz com o Wuthering Heights...

In 'Belong to me', we meet charming, insightful Cornelia Brown, as she struggles to forge friendships with the woman in her new town and as she discovers that even the most joyful marriage can encounter unexpected, and sometimes frightening, hurdles.

Minha opinião:

Gostei. O livro é interessante, bem escrito, os personagens se desenvolvem...mas confesso para mim, faltou algo. Não sei dizero que...no final, eu esperava um pouco mais de drama, mas tudo foi calmo... aceitação...acho que para a vida, realmente é a melhor opção, aceitação pacifica depois de remoer dolorosamente por um tempo, mas na leitura(não posso dizer literatura) espera-se um certo drama...para mim foi isso que faltou: um climax. Mas recomendo, é gostoso de ler e um pouco mais maduro na categoria chicklit.

Minha opinião:
Classicos são um problemas, amados por uns e detestados por outros...eu vou ficar com detestado! Terminei o livro por pura teimosia...lógico que sabia do risco ao iniciá-lo pela milésima quinta vez, mas tinha que ler...afinal, o Edward e a Bela(Twilight) amavam a história. Não sei se eu simplesmente não entendi o que estava escrito, confesso que as partes escritas em Cockney* foram complicadas e me deixaram perdida demais, ou se realmente não é nada romantico!
Demorei 10 meses para terminar essa leitura! É desgraça do começo ao fim, ódio, inveja e morte...e nem tem romance...bom, classicos são classicos, mas ainda prefiro Amor de Perdição... A não ser que sua vidade seja muito alegre um pouco de desgraça seja necessária, não recomendo a leitura...

Minha Opinião:
Como li esses depois dos da serie do The House of Night, não consigo deixar de achar que é uma adaptação do mesmo conceito inicial. Não sei se essa seria de Parthelon veio antes ou depois, mas os elementos centrais são muito parecido: personagem principal feminino, escolhido e protegido por uma deusa, elementos sobrenaturais, disputa entre o bem e o mal.
Beleza! Tem tudo, magica, romance, aventuras e mulheres no poder. Gostei, fazer o que. Não é nem inédito, nem inesperado, mas não decepciona. Recomendo.

Amo, fiz todo mundo que foi uma menina de 15 ano ler...e todas amaram...falei para Marido não ler que ele não ai gostar...ele tentou, e não gostou...mas ele(sorte a minha) nunca foi uma menina de 15 anos...
Adorei os 4 livros, amei o primeiro, gostei dos demais...recomendo todos!
The short second life foi otimo para matar a saudade, bom, como já falei curto demais...
Recomendo muito!!!

Minha opinião:

Adorei os três. Li os dois primeiros quase que em uma sentada. Ele é catalogado como literatura infanto-juvenil mas achei que ele é extremamente interessante, mas já tendo passado uns aninhos do público alvo. Achei ele inteligente, diferente e comovente. Ele me lembrou bastante de 1984, mas foi gostoso de ler(1984 não é lá muito gostoso de ler...).  Recomendo com certeza!
